Ask Century

D2L Brightspace or Century webpages won't load.

Some Century, myCentury or D2L Brightspace (formerly, Desire2Learn) pages won't load for me. Is there a setting I can adjust in my Internet Explorer for this?

Your browser may be set at a security level that does not allow the page to load. A quick fix you can try:

  1. Open Internet Explorer
  2. Click on the "Tools" menu
  3. Click on the "Internet Options" choice
  4. Click on the "Security" tab
  5. Click on "Trusted Sites"
  6. Click the "Sites" button
  7. In the "Add this website to the zone:" box type the following: https://century.ims.mnscu.edu
  8. Click the "Add" button
  9. Repeat step 7 above, adding the following sites as well:
    *.century.edu
    *.mnscu.edu
  10. Click "Close"
  11. Click "Okay"

Basically, this tells Internet Explorer, that no matter what it's security settings are set at, the D2L Brightspace and Century College websites are okay to access. (Which are sites you can trust against any malicious behavior.)
